In November 2018, the "Guangdong Science and Technology Association Intelligent Manufacturing Society Consortium", jointly sponsored by 11 provincial-level societies such as the Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society, was unveiled in Guangzhou. It is reported that this is the fourth provincial society formally established in Guangdong Province. As the member of the first presidium, Greatoo was awarded the plaque at this conference. At the same time, the chief engineer of the company, Zeng Xuzhao, was hired as an expert member of the society consortium".
According to reports, the consortium was jointly initiated by 11 provincial-level associations of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology related to manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing in Guangdong Province, and extensively cooperated with 16 higher education institutions, 20 relevant scientific research institutions in the province, 10 industry organizations and industry alliances, as well as provincial 36 intelligent manufacturing and leading enterprises, participated in the formation, fully integrating the superior resources of Guangdong Province's intelligent manufacturing related disciplines, colleges, institutions and leading enterprises.
After the unveiling ceremony, a smart manufacturing summit forum was held. Li Peigen, director of the Association's advisory committee, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and chairman of the presidium, as well as Qu Jinping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, respectively gave a special report entitled "Focus on Data and Interconnection" and "Thinking about the Innovation and Development of Intelligent Manufacturing Industry in Guangdong Province". Zhang Yanmin, executive vice chairman of the China Society of Mechanical Engineering, gave a report titled "The Operational System and Practice of the Consortium of the Intelligent Manufacturing Society of China"
Guangdong is a major economic province, a major manufacturing province, a large equipment province. The establishment of the Guangdong Science and Technology Association Intelligent Manufacturing Society Consortium is conducive to promoting complementary and synergistic development of similar disciplines and accelerating the development of a new generation of information and manufacturing technology, to promote the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong's manufacturing industry.
